Form follows human.
Headless Collective is an experience design studio, working through architecture, interiors and landscape. The idea behind the studio was simple: to make experiential design through unique solutions, in an age where we compete with global forces to genuinely improve the quality of life.
Our team of designers and engineers is constantly looking into the processes of design and innovation. We strive for thoughtful, collaborative and lasting architecture, and we believe any design should respond to its place, time and person, and enhance its surroundings by being a natural partner of its habitat.
We start with the person.
The person in the room comes first: how they move, gather, rest and feel. Design for that, and the form resolves around it.
Build to understand.
There is no closer way to know a people, a climate and a culture than to build among them. Each place teaches us how its people actually live, and the work carries that knowledge.
Taste travels.
When the sensibility is aligned, geography is just another site condition. It's why our work runs from Hyderabad to the California coast.
Design for the human, and the business follows.
Focusing on people turned Thrive from a single commission into a company, and made a California industrial facility feel human to the people who work in it. Get the experience right, and the returns, the retention and the reputation follow.
One north star, a different method each time.
We don't run every project through one fixed process. What stays constant is the north star: make the space work for the people we're building for. From there we go as deep as the project needs, with whatever tools and methods the work asks for.
We focus on how 'the one', someone new to a city, will actually live in and move through the space.
We start by asking how you've actually been living, and design from the honest answer.
The work that taught us the most.
Everyone here touches the work.
A small studio, flat by choice: no big names, no small ones. Hover a face to meet them.
Starts every project by meeting the person it's for. The plan comes after.
Abhishek Kumar
Happiest with a detail drawing and a dusty site. Makes sure the idea survives construction.
Keval Sojitra
The reason a project feels easy from the client's side. Keeps everyone talking.
Chanikya Gupta Nidamanuri
Keeps the partners and vendors in step, so the work keeps moving. Happiest deep in materials and techniques, always learning how a thing is made.
Parthavi
Collaborators on our international work, including the Montecito Tea House.

Design for humans first. Come build with us.
We're a small studio. Everyone here shapes real work, learns by building, and travels to the places we design for. If that's the kind of work you want, come build with us.
